Awareness clumsiness can have a cause
"The Beauty of Fragility"
This 120 x 120 cm painting is inspired by my experience with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome—a condition where everything feels as if it’s barely holding together. The fragmented, fluid forms reflect the looseness and instability of my body, yet within them lies something deeper: humor, resilience, and the ability to find color in life.
People often mistake me for clumsy, for awkward, as if I simply lack coordination. But that’s not fair. My body moves in ways I cannot control, not because I am careless, but because it is my reality. This painting is my response to those assumptions. It is a statement that my so-called ‘clumsiness’ is not a flaw—it is part of who I am.
Yet flexibility has its advantages. Just as my body bends, so does my spirit. This piece is not just about fragility but also about adaptability, playfulness, and a survival instinct woven with wit. My humor is my armor, my paintbrush my voice.
